Spring Solutions for Demanding Industrial Applications
Springs are critical components in many industrial products and mechanisms, for example, in mobile work machines and security-related products. For a spring to function reliably and withstand the intended load, a number of circumstances need to be considered in the design and manufacture.
Support for spring design
We will help you with spring design, dimensioning, material choices, and technical solutions, thereby making sure the spring meets the requirements of its intended application and functions reliably even in demanding environments. We also manufacture model series and prototypes to support product development, allowing the functionality of different spring solutions to be tested before serial production. In addition, we deliver spring solutions flexibly, from small batches to large series, owing to efficient manufacturing and a broad range of materials.

A wide choice of springs and spring components
We offer a comprehensive range of springs and spring components for various industrial applications. We have decades of experience in manufacturing springs and wire products. In addition to customized spring solutions, we supply standard springs promptly available from our Spring Store.
Technologies, materials, and aftertreatments
The basic technologies for spring manufacture are spring wire twisting and wire bending. These technologies are used to manufacture various customized springs, such as compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs, and wire forms.
Spring materials are chosen according to the load, environmental conditions, and durability requirements of the intended use. Through the right choices, the spring solution can be optimized in terms of corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, or light weight, for example.
Wide choice of materials:
- Spring steel
- Coated spring steels (incl. zinc, alu-zinc, nickel, tin, etc.)
- Oil-hardened spring steels
- Stainless and acid-resistant spring steels
- Heat-resistant spring steels (incl. Nimonic, Inconell, Hesteloy)
- Non-ferrous metals (copper, brass)
- Exotic metals and alloys, incl. Platina, Paliney
Aftertreatments can be used to improve the durability, performance, and service life of the spring, as well as to ensure its functionality under demanding operating conditions.
Typical examples of aftertreatments include:
- thermal treatment and hardening to improve material properties
- shot blasting and prestressing to increase the fatigue resistance of the spring
- grinding, coating and painting to finish and protect the spring
Customized spring solutions
We manufacture springs according to the customer’s drawings or requirements of the operating environment and assist with spring design and dimensioning, if required.
We manufacture springs in the following range of wire thicknesses:
- Customized compression springs 0.1–12.0mm
- Torsion springs and wire forms 0.1–8.0mm

Compression springs
A compression spring produces force when compressed and is designed for its intended use based on the requirements to spring force, spring constant, and service life.

Extension springs
An extension spring operates under tensile load and needs to be designed with special consideration of its link structure and the stresses working on it.

Torsion springs
A torsion spring produces torque and is used, for example, in hinges and various mechanisms where force based on rotational movement is required.

Wire forms
Wire forms are components made of bent spring wire. Wire forms are used, for example, in fastenings, locks, and various mechanical solutions.
Standard springs promptly from stock
Our extensive stock product range includes thousands of standard springs and spring components that can be delivered promptly to meet various industrial needs. More than 8,000 product items are available; delivery from our Spring Store may even be possible on the same day.

Coil springs
Coil springs are among the most common spring types and are widely used in various industrial applications.

Die springs
Die springs have been especially designed for applications where great spring force is required in a limited space.

Disc springs
Disc springs allow for great spring force in a small space and can also be used as spring packs.

Hose connectors
Spring-loaded hose clamps maintain a consistent clamping force despite variations in temperature and pressure.

Nitrogen cylinders
Nitrogen springs produce full spring force already in the initial position and are particularly suitable for tool applications.

Constant-force springs
Constant-force springs produce a nearly constant force throughout the entire range of motion.

Spring plates
Spring plates are used in various mechanical structures to produce spring force and control loading.

Spring components
Our range also includes various spring components and vibration dampers to extend the service life of machines and equipment.

Electrical installation accessories
We also offer spring components and mounting solutions suitable for electrical installations.
Design considerations
Different spring types have their own characteristics that affect design and dimensioning. By taking these into account already in the early stages of product development, the spring can be designed to ensure proper function, installability and durability in its intended application.
Compression springs
In addition to spring force and spring rate, the design should take into account the available installation space, maximum load and required service life. The spring geometry and end configuration also affect performance and durability.
Extension springs
The end loops are critical points in the structure of an extension spring. Their resistance to stress and a loop design suitable for the application should be considered already at the design stage.
Torsion springs
When a torsion spring is loaded, its inside diameter decreases. Sufficient clearance must therefore be left between the spring and the shaft throughout the full range of movement.
Wire forms
Two- and three-dimensional wire forms can be designed for applications such as locking and fastening elements, contacts, handles and holders. Prototypes can be produced quickly, enabling flexible testing of different solutions during product development.
