Responsibility and Sustainability as Part of Daily Operations
We are building a more sustainable industry, hand in hand with our customers. For us, responsibility is not a separate domain, but an essential element of our strategy and everything we do. We are constantly developing manufacturing towards improved efficiency, safety, and environmental friendliness, while taking care of people and business in the long-term.
Responsibility is reflected in our daily work through specific choices – in how we strive to influence products during the design stage, how we manufacture them, and how we co-operate with our customers. Our objective is to find solutions that are both technically and financially sustainable, while reducing environmental impact. Our operations are also guided by the certificates of our management system.
Ecological sustainability
We are constantly developing the environmental friendliness of our manufacture. We focus efforts on material efficiency, energy efficiency, and process optimisation to reduce emissions and waste.
Our emission reduction work is progressing in the planned manner, and in many respects, we are ahead of our goals. We develop solutions that provide for lighter structures, more efficient use of materials, and lower environmental impact.

Meconet has successfully achieved its goal of cutting its carbon footprint in half ahead of schedule and is now making steady progress towards full carbon neutrality in production.

People are at the core of our operations. We focus efforts on good leadership, a safe working environment, and competence development.

Responsibility also governs the way we maintain and develop our business, and financial stability is also important for our customers. We build our operations with a long-term perspective and continuously develop our processes to be more efficient, stable and of higher quality.
Co-operation with customers plays a key role: if products are designed together from the very start, quality can be improved, costs reduced, and environmental impacts reduced.
Sustainable growth – continuously reducing emissions
Meconet has ambitious growth targets. By the end of the current strategy period, we aim to reach EUR 100 million in revenue, which means rapid organic growth.
Towards more sustainable future
Our plant is organised according to the 5S-6S principles, and we utilise LEAN tools such as Kaizen (innovation), SMED (shortening set-up times), Poka-yoke, and Kanban. Continuous improvement of operations and processes is the responsibility of our entire personnel.
Responsibility is about ongoing development. We set goals, follow up on their implementation, and develop our operations systematically. Together with our customers, we can build solutions that support both business and environmental goals.
