Lars is based in Vallentuna, just north of Stockholm, and a short 20-minute drive from Arlanda Airport. He lives with his wife and one of her children, while her other child resides in Helsingborg. An avid sports enthusiast, Lars stays active by playing floorball, table tennis, going to the gym, cross country, and skiing. He has also enjoyed skateboarding for most of his life. Additionally, Lars also enjoys his motorcycle and summer car, although he avoids using them in the rain.
Lars holds a two-year education course based on the four-year technical education specializing in electrical engineering, which was the highest level of education available before university during the late 1980s. His career journey began in the service industry, working for McDonald’s and later in sushi restaurants founded by a friend.
After realizing his passion for sales, Lars transitioned into various roles, starting with quality inspection at Parameter, followed by selling electronics, and later advertisements for TeleDanmark. However, it was during his 16-year tenure at Nomo, where he sold bearings to a wide range of clients in Sweden, that Lars honed his skills in B2B sales. Before joining Meconet in 2022, he also worked for SMC Pneumatics.
The perfect spring is a complex process
At Meconet, Lars specializes in selling springs to a diverse customer base, including manufacturers of fans, locks, and various other products. One of Lars’ key contributions is providing technical expertise to his clients, often using the “Institute of Spring Technologies” (IST) program to ensure they get the right spring solution for their needs. He emphasizes the importance of collaboration, not only selling to but also working closely with customers to build trust. This has led to multiple clients transferring their production needs to Meconet due to the confidence they’ve built in Lars and the company.
Lars’ approach is one of openness and partnership, seeing himself as an extension of the customer’s team. He works with a variety of departments, including sales and design, to ensure that the right solutions are found. Despite what some might think, designing the perfect spring is a complex process involving careful planning, testing, and calculation.
Meconet’s top-tier expertise in spring technology allows them to serve both large and smaller clients across different sectors, offering high-quality products at competitive prices.
All-in-one solutions for the customers
Lars sees enormous potential for Meconet to expand its reach in Sweden, helping companies across a broad spectrum of industries. He is particularly proud of the company’s ability to offer multiple technologies to create comprehensive, all-in-one solutions for their customers. This range of services enables Meconet to deliver added value in ways that few competitors can match.
Looking ahead, Lars is focused on finding new clients and opportunities where Meconet’s skills can make a difference. He believes that building trust is the cornerstone of his work, and he’s confident that Meconet has the resources and expertise to support Swedish businesses now and into the future. His passion for meeting new people and fostering relationships makes him a valuable asset, not just for Meconet, but for the companies he partners with.
