I started with Meconet GmbH in Germany about a year ago. A lot has happened during that first year. In this blog, I will explain how Meconet can bring tangible benefits to Central European companies, especially in the fields of solar energy, mobile machinery, and electrification of maritime transport.
Mobile machinery: Innovative electrification solutions
Meconet has extensive experience in the design of components for agricultural machinery and electric forklifts. Owing to this, we can also help other machinery manufacturers with the design of sheet metal products and electrification solutions. For Central European manufacturers, this provides an opportunity to take advantage of our expertise and our innovative solutions in promoting electrification. This way, we can ensure manufacturability and the right materials, as well as minimise the products’ CO2 emissions.

Water transport and eMarine: Reduced CO2 emissions
The pace of water transport electrification keeps accelerating. The 2023 IMO (International Maritime Organization) GHG strategy envisions reduction of the carbon intensity of international shipping (cutting of CO2 emissions per transport operation) by at least 40% on average by 2030.
Meconet is actively involved in developing solutions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Products manufactured by Meconet and designed in co-operation with our customers, such as battery covers, spacers and busbars, are perfectly suited for the electrification of maritime transport.
Central European shipping companies and water transport operators can benefit from Meconet’s technologies contributing to optimisation of energy efficiency and reduction of emissions. Co-operation with Meconet provides the opportunity to make use of our sheet metal expertise and the latest innovations, as well as to improve competitiveness on a global level.
Solar panel fasteners: Solutions for complex supply chains
Meconet has been actively looking for partners for the production of solar panel fasteners. For Central European companies, this is an excellent opportunity to improve the efficiency and reliability of their supply chains. The European renewable energy solutions market has been in turmoil due to the Russian war of aggression and the rise in energy prices. Because of this, the manufacturers of solar panel fasteners have constantly had to adapt their supply chains to meet the changing needs.

Through the Nordic countries, Meconet offers solutions that can help diversify supply chains and improve security. Naturally, the local companies already have suppliers, which means that we need to be able to offer added value in many ways. Based on the past year, in my opinion, we are perfectly capable of standing out through offering many kinds of added value, such as willingness to serve, high quality, and innovative solutions.
