Compression springs
What kind of a compression spring you need?
Meconet manufactures compression springs tailored to the customer’s needs or according to drawings. We will gladly help you with spring design, calculations, choice of materials, and manufacture of model series to provide you with compression springs of the exactly right type.
Compression springs tailored to your needs
It is a good idea to design the compression spring for its exact application, so that it complies with the requirements to spring force, spring constant, and installation. The service life of a compression spring correctly dimensioned for its application increases, since the maximum load and force affecting the spring can be reduced.
There are different types of compression springs depending on application: the most common type is cylindrical, while other possible types include conical compression springs designed to achieve a progressive spring constant. Springs can be wound left-hand or right-hand. The end coil can be closed or open and the spring ends can be polished or untreated. We manufacture compression springs from ø 0.1-16.0mm spring wire.
Compression spring materials and aftertreatments
We manufacture compression springs of ordinary spring steel (e.g., EN 10270-1 SM) and stainless spring steel (e.g., EN 10270-3-1.4310), as well as of oil-hardening, galvanized or acid-resistant spring steel. Compression springs can also be made of special grade materials (Inconel, Nimonic and titanium).
Both required and recommended aftertreatments, such as various thermal, polishing, shot-blasting, preloading, coating and painting treatments are available from us or from our subcontractors.
We also deliver compression springs from our warehouse
We supply compression springs as stock products. We have more than 8,000 spring products in stock and deliver standard springs and other stock products from our warehouse on a short notice. By choosing a standard spring product, you can accelerate the new project launching phase, for example, and owing to our wide range of stock products, there is no need to worry about product storage at a stage in which the dimensioning of the spring may change. Contact our sales department for more information on stock products!
