The Pihtipudas factory of Meconet has won a significant spring deal from the United States. The deal is worth more than one million euros per year. The customer is North Rixson, a subsidiary of Assa Abloy in the USA, North Carolina. The new contract strengthens Meconet’s position in the international market and brings the company significant growth in spring products.
The annual supply volume of springs ranges from 200,000 to 300,000 kilograms. The springs are designed for the door closers manufactured by Norton. Meconet has already started constructing the on-site warehouse.
The springs sales process began already in February 2022, and has since progressed from design through prototypes to the first production series.
“Co-operation with Norton has required significant effort and seamless collaboration in sales and production, which has now resulted in a new partnership that will hopefully be growing yearly,” says Tomi Sutinen, Account Manager.
